Your doctor advises you to gradually increase your dose if it starts working well. Always follow orders and directions of your health care provider to reduce the risk of side effects.
Taking this drug may cause withdrawal reactions, especially if it has been used over a long period or in high doses. If you suddenly stop taking Xanax, withdrawal symptoms may occur. To prevent withdrawal symptoms, your doctor gradually decreases your dosages.
